Season Two of E4's Misfits. Simon and Alisha are finally an item!

Misfits - Season Two - and OH MY GOD YES !!! IT FUCKING HAPPENED !!! SIMON AND ALISHA !!!

Party people report to the dance flooooor --!

I've secretly shipped this pairing since the very first episode, and now that my dream has come true - by unbelievable measures, of course - I am so on board with this love affair!

But before I dive into this fantastic development...

...here's a look into the dynamics between Simon and his 'bff' Nathan, in this outstanding fanvideo:

Despite all the fucked up things he's done, Nathan comes a close second as my favorite character. And for the longest time I thought that his constant bullying would help pave way for Simon's development - but with the new details about Alisha thrown in the mix, now I'm not entirely sure...

...but I can say that I'm very pleased with the shift. I can't even begin to describe how I feel about it -- I mean, imagine being on a hot air balloon and riding around the milky way with nothing but pizza, cotton candy and Brooklyn brown ale on board. It's fucking monumental.

As to why I'm so in favor of Simon/Alisha, that can be explained by my appreciation for crack pairings. Simon's really bright, shy. And sometimes he's downright creepy. But he's captivating when given the chance. And his loyalty to his friends suggest that he's got so much love to give but he hasn't figured out a way to tone down his expectations and not get hurt in the process.

And Alisha - well - she's the textbook definition of the kind of girl everyone wants to be with. She's beautiful and obnoxious. She's so used to getting what and whomever she wants. And it's sort of made her lazy with relationships. I thought it would be interesting to see someone like Simon be able to tear down her walls and expose her at her most vulnerable. Because I get a sense that, for Alisha, everything isn't always about sex. She's searching for some sort of validation that requires disassembling. And she has every right to be a damsel in distress for the hero that exists in superhoodie!Simon.

Still, I don't know how the fuck they're going to make this work ... seems like one hell of a fanfic. But I'm sooo excited to see how Alisha learns to find patience for the growing affections she may have for [present day] Simon ... ugh!

Scenes were hot.

Can't wait for next week!
